Dixon Wins The Indy 500

Scott Dixon can now place his name in the pantheon of winners of the Indianapolis 500.

In the 92nd running of this historic race, Scott edged out Vitor Meira by 1.75 seconds to claim the prize and the right to drink milk in the winners circle.

It was Meira's second time coming in as the runner up.

Dixon led most of the laps (115 out of 200) and held off Marco Andretti and Meira for the win at the end. In fact, it was his pit crew that really deserves this win. He pulled out of the pit just seconds before Meira did.

Had Dixon's pit been a tad slower, we'd be talking about Meira's first Indy win instead of Dixon's.
