Big Brown Has Crack In Hoof

It appears that Big Brown, the winner of the Kentucky Derby and Preakness at Pimlico, has a crack on the inside of his left front hoof.

It is a fairly common injury amongst racehorses and could keep him out anywhere from a few days to a few months.

His trainers are optimistic that he will be able to race in time for the Belmont Stakes on June 7th. If he does run in the Belmont Stakes and wins he will be the firs Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978.

We're hoping he does indeed make a full recovery. The sports needs a pickme up after the disaster in the Kentucky Derby this year.
